French auto parts firm Faurecia plans to employ 1,000 people in Slovakia

One of the world's biggest car component suppliers, Faurecia, plans to employ over 1,000 people in Slovakia, confirmed Jozef Mikuska, the French company's commodity buyer and development manager for Central and Eastern Europe on Friday.

The construction of a production facility, where Faurecia will manufacture car seats for a Bratislava-based Volkswagen production plant as of 2017, was launched last month near Lozorno in western Slovakia.

This is the sixth production plant to be operated by Faurecia in Slovakia. Endit
