Cold front to sweep China

Xinhua, February 19, 2016 Adjust font size:

A cold front will sweep across most of China, bringing strong winds and low temperatures over the next three days, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said on Friday.

Regions along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and those north to the river will be affected by the cold air from Friday to Sunday, with temperatures to drop by as much as six degrees Celsius in parts of northwest China and north China, the NMC said.

Strong wind will bring sand and dust to parts of Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Ningxia and Xinjiang.

The NMC also forecast rain in south China on Friday and Saturday. Endi
