2022 co-host to build Olympic sports center

Xinhua, February 19, 2016 Adjust font size:

Zhangjiakou, the 2022 Winter Olympic co-host with Beijing, will build its Olympic sports center with five designs posted on local official websites for public choices and opinions.

The center, comprised of a stadium, a gymnasium, a natatorium, a speedskating rink and a ball games training venue, will cover 50 hectares and host over 70,000 people at the same time.

The design of the center is in line with the principle of frugality and sustainable development, local authorities said.

Chongli district of Zhangjiakou city will hold snow events including biathlon, Nordic combined, ski jumping, snowboard and freestyle skiing in 2022. Endi
