Pakistan on Thursday condemned a terrorist bomb attack in Turkey that killed nearly 28 people and injured scores others.

A car bomb attack targeted the Turkish military in the capital Ankara on Wednesday.

"It is with deep anguish and sadness that we have learnt about the bomb blast in Ankara," the Pakistan Foreign Ministry said.

"Pakistan condemns this terrorist attack in the strongest terms and reaffirms its abiding solidarity with Turkey," the ministry said in a statement.

The Foreign Ministry said Pakistan reiterates its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

"We have no doubt that Turkey would eliminate the scourge of terrorism with its strong will and unshakable resolve."

Pakistan also extended condolences to the brotherly people and government of Turkey and pray for the swift recovery of those injured.

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said the government has so far no information on who carried out the attack. Enditem
