Bulgarians 3.6 pct richer in Q4 2015: official data

Bulgarian households increased their wealth by 3.6 percent in the fourth quarter of 2015 on a year-on-year basis, official data indicated.

The total income average per household member during the period was 1,262 Bulgarian Lev (about 720 U.S. dollars), according to data published Tuesday by the country's National Statistical Institute (NSI).

Meanwhile, total average expenditure per household member was 1,162 Bulgarian Lev and decreased by 0.7 percent year-on-year.

Expenditure on food dominated the spending at 32.4 percent, followed by housing (16.7 percent), and transport and communication (11.2 percent). (1 U.S. dollar = 1.75 Bulgarian Lev) Endit
