Spanish stock market spikes 3.26 pct, closes at 8,179 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex 35 shot up 3.26 percent on Monday to close at 8,179.20 points, up from the 7,920.80 points of Friday.

On Monday session, Acerinox shares led rises soaring 8.11 percent, followed by ArcelorMittal, Sacyr, IAG, Gamesa and Telefonica which rose 6.63 percent, 6.50 percent, 5.68 percent, 5.23 percent and 4.98 percent respectively.

FCC shares also rose climbing 0.81 percent, as well as Inditex, Endesa, Mediaset and Repsol which rose 1.64 percent, 1.87 percent, 1.89 percent and 2.05 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 147.10 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.709 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Friday. Endit
