World No. 3 ranked Romanian Simona Halep said on Sunday she feels confident to defend her title at this year's WTA Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

"Since I had such a good debut of 2016 when I won Shenzhen Open [in China] in January, I am keen on reaching the final in Dubai again and to defend my title I won here in 2015," she said.

"I am really happy to be back."

Halep believes there is room for improvement.

"I think I can still improve, particularly in playing tactics," she said.

Asked if she is happy with her current coach Darren Cahill after she changed her coach three times since 2014, Halep answered: "Yes, I am happy with team I work with." Endi
