Spanish stock market falls 4.88 pct, closes at 7,746 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 4.88 percent on Thursday to close at 7,746.30 points, down from the 8,143.70 points of Wednesday.

Bankia shares led rises losing 7.64 percent, followed by BBVA, Banco Santander, IAG, Caixabank and ArcelorMittal that lost 7.14 percent, 6.87 percent, 6.85 percent, 6.74 percent and 6.69 percent respectively.

R.E.C. shares also fell losing 2.21 percent, as well as Tecnicas Reunidas, Enagas, Iberdrola, Amadeus and Grifols that lost 2.36 percent, 2.36 percent, 2.39 percent, 2.46 percent and 2.75 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium stood at 159.20 points, up from the 148.60 points of Wednesday, and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.786 percent, showing no big differences when compared with Wednesday. Endit
