Gun attack kills 6 in a Saudi education office

Xinhua, February 11, 2016 Adjust font size:

Six people were killed and a number of others injured on Thursday when a gunman attacked a government education office in the border city of Jazan, local news portal Sabq reported.

The attacker has been arrested, the report said, adding that five victims died at the scene, while the sixth died later in hospital.

Some of the injured were in critical condition, Sadq said.

It was not immediately known what prompted the shooting, but similar attacks targeting Saudi Arabia since last year were all claimed by the Islamic State (IS) militant group. Endit
