Croatia sends border police to Macedonia to help migrant profiling

Xinhua, February 9, 2016 Adjust font size:

Croatia on Tuesday sent a group of border police to Macedonia to assist in profiling migrants.

The move was taken according to the previous agreement reached by Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia and Croatia on mutual assistance profiling migrants, Croatian interior minister Vlaho Orepic said.

A total of 20 Croatian police officers with five vehicles and special equipment were sent to Macedonia.

The countries on the Balkan migrant route have agreed that migrants would be transported directly from Macedonia to the border of Austria, according to Orepic. Endit
