Pakistan's shooting squad leaves for South Asian Games in India

Pakistan's national shooting squad on Sunday left to feature in the 12th South Asian Games being held in Guwhati, India, officials said.
Executive Vice President of the National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP), Razi Ahmed Khan, said Pakistan team include 27 best players of the country and it can be ranked as one of the strong team of the event.
Total 11 male shooters, eight female shooters along with eight officials are in the squad that will compete in the event starting on Feb. 9.
"We are hoping to win gold medal in Center fire, Rapid fire pistol events in the mega event," Khan said.
Khan said they also got equal chances in it the same team event as the shooters went through rigorous training and coaching from the foreign as well as local coaches.
The official said Pakistani shooters would be facing stiff challenge from world class shooters from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Pakistan won three silver and six bronze medals in the last games held in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Enditem
