Former Brazil striker Jo joins Jiangsu Suning

Xinhua, February 6, 2016 Adjust font size:

Former Manchester City and Brazil international striker Jo has joined Jiangsu Suning, according to media reports.

Jo follows his compatriots Alex Teixeira and Ramires, who have also signed with the Chinese Super League outfit in recent days.

Photographs circulating on social media on Friday showed Jo posing alongside Teixeira in a Jiangsu Suning shirt.

Jo, who has been capped 20 times for Brazil, had been contracted to Al-Shabab following his move from Brazil's Atletico Mineiro last July.

He scored 13 goals from eight appearances for the United Arab Emirates club.

The 28-year-old's transfer comes after Jiangsu Suning reportedly made a failed 75 million-euro bid for Chelsea midfielder Oscar. Endit
