Macedonian exports for 2015 amount to 4.49 bln U.S. dollars

The total value of exported goods from Macedonia in 2015 was 249.61 billion Macedonian Denar (4.49 billion U.S. dollars), the Macedonian State Statistical Office (SSO) informed on Friday.

According to the data offered by SSO, the total value of imported goods amounted to 355.95 billion Macedonian Denar.

The trade deficit was 106.34 billion Macedonian Denar, whereas the import coverage by export was 70.2 percent.

Moreover, the external trade by products shows that in the exports the most significant products are supported catalysts with precious metal or precious metal compounds as the active substance, ferro-­nickel, ignition wiring sets and other wiring sets of a kind used in vehicles, aircraft or ships, iron and steel products.

In imports, the most significant products are the platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder form, petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude), electricity and other metals of the platinum group and alloys thereof, unwrought or in powder form, according to the SSO.
