BiH former security minister indicted

Prosecutor Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on Friday issued an indictment against former security minister Fahrudin Radoncic over interference of a trial of a drug dealer.

Radoncic, Chairman of Union for Better Future (SBB) and a lawmaker, was charged with of conspiracy to commit criminal acts and obstruction of justice. His close party associates Bakir Dautbasic and Bilsena Sahman were also indicted on similar charges.

According to prosecutors, they tried to intimidate and bribe a witness in the trial against Naser Kelmendi in Pristina, Kosovo.

Dautbasic and Sahman were arrested on Jan. 11 while Radoncic has been arrested on Jan. 25. Kelmendi, a BiH citizen, was on trial due to drug trafficking, organized crimes and murder.

It was one of the most high profile crime cases involving top officials in BiH since the Balkan country gained its independence in 1990s. Endit
