Xinhua, February 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

Bryce Cotton, former NBA player of Phoenix Suns, continued his shining performance in his second CBA match, as he grabbed a game-high 40 points to lead the team to beat Tianjin 145-100 in the last round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday.

Xinjiang thus became the only team to defend their home court successfully in this regular season. The second-ranked Xinjiang will take on defending champion Beijing in bottom half of CBA playoffs, when Beijing finished only No.7, as they lost to Tongxi 92-82 in the last round.

Also in the same half, Sichuan defeated Jilin 134-112, which put No.3 Sichuan to challenge sixth-ranked Guangsha. Guangsha crushed Foshan 166-113.

Liaoning beat Shanxi 132-115, securing a 17-game winning streak and the crown of regular season. The No. 8 Zhejiang will face Liaoning in top half of CBA playoffs.

Shandong beat Bayi 100-95, as Guangdong had a victory over Fujiang 107-88. The fifth-placed Shandong will face their old rival Guandong, which defeated Shandong 4-0 in the 2012/2013 CBA finals.

Shanghai beat Qingdao 105-104. Shenzhen tamed Jiangsu 106-82. Beikong thrashed Zhejiang 120-105.

The 2015/2016 CBA playoffs will kick off on Feb.15. Endit
