Xinhua, February 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

A missing child from the fourth largest city of Prilep in the Republic of Macedonia was found dead in a water channel, the public prosecutor said on Thursday.

According to Lidija Salatoska Ilioska, the parents reported Wednesday afternoon that their two-year-old son has gone missing in the Trizla neighborhood.

"The search for the child lasted until the early morning hours. His lifeless body was found by members of the family around 6:30 am (Thursday) at a water channel stretching from the area known as Markovi Kuli to the Trizla settlement. He was drowned and found facing the channel," Salatoska Ilioska said.

The public prosecutor requested an autopsy in order to determine the cause of death. Endi
