Tokyo shares end lower by break on stronger yen

Tokyo shares ended the morning session lower on Friday on the yen's appreciation amid lower U.S. rate hike expectations.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 253.43 points, or 1.49 percent, from Thursday to 16,791.56.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 25.24 points, or 1.82 percent, to 1,363.57. Enditem
