Tokyo shares lose ground by break on firmer yen

Tokyo shares lost ground by ending the morning session on Thursday on the yen's appreciation after dovish comments from a top U.S. Federal Reserve official.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 121.29 points, or 0.71 percent, from Wednesday to 17,069.96.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 13.30 points, or 0.95 percent, to 1,392.97. Enditem
