Xinhua to enhance cooperation with Cuban media

Xinhua, February 2, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Xinhua News Agency will further promote cooperation with Cuban media, Xinhua President Cai Mingzhao said Tuesday while meeting Cuban Ambassador to China Alberto Blanco Silva.

Hailing the long-term cooperation between Xinhua and Cuban media, Cai said media is an important channel to deepen the mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.

Xinhua is ready to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Cuban media, such as the Latin American News Agency Prensa Latina whose cooperation with Xinhua dates back to 1962, and expand coverage so as to enhance the friendship and understanding between the two peoples, he said.

Alberto Blanco Silva said Cuba hopes Xinhua can beef up its coverage on Cuba to promote the development of the bilateral ties of the two countries. Endi
