Afghanistan's Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah arrived in New Delhi Sunday on a five-day visit to India, officials said.

"During his stay, the Afghan leader will have discussions with the Indian leadership on bilateral issues," an official said.

According to an External Affairs Ministry statement, the Afghan leader is scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday.

On Tuesday, he will leave for Jaipur city to attend a conference on counter-terrorism, where he is expected to share Afghan experience with the participants.

Local newspaper Indian Express said the conference is organized by India Foundation which is led by India's national security adviser Ajit Doval's son Shaurya Doval.

Abdullah's visit to India comes nearly a month after Modi's visit to Kabul. Endit
