CBA Roundup: Leader Liaoning extends winning-streak to 15 games

Leader Liaoning crushed Shenzhen 109-93 to grab its 15th consecutive win in the 36th round of the Chinese Basketball Association on Sunday.

The leader established a 9-2 lead at the opening stage of the game, then Shenzhen turned the table 28-23 as Bobby Brown nailed two three-pointers.

Sinking eight three-pointers out of eleven, the leader grabbed the lead again 59-50 in the second quarter.

Liaoning, the runner-up of last season, enlarged the gap to 21 points in the third quarter and kept the advantage till the end.

Shavlik Randolph and Lester Hudson scored 28 and 27 points respectively for Liaoning, Guo Ailun pocketed 15 points. Shenzhen's Bobby Brown also collected 28 points, domestic player Gu Quan contributed 23 points.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Xinjiang beat Aolong 126-120, Zhejiang overcame Bayi 93-81, Guangdong smashed Tongxi 112-85, Jilin crushed Tianjin 132-128, Sichuan edged Jiangsu 106-104, Qingdao won over Foshan 151-148 in overtime, Shanxi defeated Guangsha 113-95, Shandong crushed Shanghai 111-97, the defending champion Beijing handed a 118-111 defeat to Fujian.

After this round, the eight teams of the playoffs were certain. The playoffs tickets belong to Liaoning, Xinjiang, Sichuan, Shandong, Guangdong, Guangsha, Beijing and Zhejiang. Endit
