Toronto Raptors extended their franchise-best 11th straight victory in a 111-107 win over Detroit Pistons on Saturday night NBA action.
The win capped off the best January in team history, with a 12-2 record during the month. The .857 winning percentage ranks only second behind Golden State's 13-2 (.867) record during the opening month of 2016.
The game against Detroit was also the seventh and final game of a home stand. This was the first time in franchise history that Toronto has swept a seven-game home stretch.
"That was a positive of the whole thing (the seven game home stand). Taking care of business at home is very important, as much as the winning streak," Raptors head coach Dwane Casey said following the win in Toronto.
Saturday's night game was once again a capacity crowd of 19,800 fans at the Air Canada Center. Dating back to Nov. 11, 2014, Raptors have sold out 63 consecutive regular season and playoff games, a team record.
Toronto now improves to 18-6 at home, second only to Cleveland's 19-3 home record.
Coach Casey hopes that the team can continue their home-court dominance into the playoffs.
"We got to make sure we value winning at home and treating our fans to quality basketball," said Casey.
Due to the All-Star game being held in Toronto, the team will be on the road for the next three weeks. Raptors begin a five-game road trip on Monday when they head to Denver. They will face Phoenix, Portland, Detroit and Minnesota before returning on Feb. 12-14 to help the city of Toronto host the first ever NBA All-Star game held outside of the United States. Endi
