Chinese police detain four Vietnamese drug-dealers

Xinhua, January 30, 2016 Adjust font size:

Police in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which borders Vietnam, have detained four Vietnamese drug dealers and are hunting for the fifth suspect.

Local police made separate arrests on Jan. 11 and Jan. 12, said Shi Bing, head of the border patrol brigade of Longzhou County.

A total of 23.5 kg of drugs, including heroin, methamphetamine and magu (a stimulant composed of methamphetamine and caffeine), were seized from the suspects, he said.

According to local police, some drug dealers have been engaged in two-way trafficking.

They brought heroin to China and smuggled methamphetamine and other synthetic drugs out to Vietnam and other countries, he said. Endi
