Dollar just below 119 yen level in early Tokyo trade

The dollar fetched just below the 119 yen line in Tokyo in early trading on Friday, marginally higher than levels in New York overnight.

At 9 a.m., the dollar changed hands at 118.92-94 yen compared with 118.78-88 yen in New York and 118.78-80 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The euro, meanwhile, was trading at 1.0935-0936 dollars and 130.05-06 yen against 1.0933-0943 dollars and 129.92-130.02 yen in New York and 1.0875-0877 dollars and 129.18-22 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon. Endit
