Juventus set to sign Brazilian defender Rogerio

Xinhua, January 28, 2016 Adjust font size:

Italian giants Juventus are set to sign teenage Brazilian defender Rogerio, according to media reports.

The 18-year-old left-back was due to fly to Italy on Thursday where he will undergo a medical and commit to a long-term deal, Globoesporte reported on Wednesday.

Rogerio is said to have impressed Juventus with his performances during last year's under-17 World Cup in Chile, where Brazil were eliminated by Nigeria in the quarterfinals.

Despite his form on the international stage, Rogerio has been unable to break into the first team of Brazilian Serie A outfit Internacional.

Juventus may immediately loan out the starlet to their Italian Serie A rivals Sassuolo. Endit
