Monaco agree deal for Brazilian defender

Xinhua, January 28, 2016 Adjust font size:

Monaco have agreed a 10 million-euro deal with Brazil's Atletico Mineiro to sign highly rated center-back Jemerson.

The 23-year-old was due to travel to France on Thursday to undergo a medical and sign a contract, the Uol news portal said on Wednesday.

Jemerson has made 56 first-team appearances for Atletico Mineiro after being promoted from the club's youth academy in 2012.

He is not the only Atletico player to attract interest in Europe.

The club's Argentine forward Lucas Pratto is reportedly being pursued by Spain's Celta Vigo. Endit
