British FTSE 100 rises 1.33 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 1.33 percent, or 78.91 points, to 5,990.37 points.

Share price of Sage Group increased by 7.49 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Glencore, Compass, BG, Dixons Carphone increased by 5.66 percent, 4.00 percent, 3.48 percent and 3.18 percent respectively.

Capita led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.14 percent, followed by Royal Bank of Scotland (1.99 percent), ARM Holdings (1.92 percent), Shire (1.77 percent), Burberry Group (1.73 percent). Endit
