A Chinese fishing boat capsized off an island in southwest South Korea, with four rescued among 10 on board the vessel, Yonhap news agency reported Wednesday.

The boat turned over Wednesday morning in waters about 85 km northeast of the Gagedo island in North Jeolla province, according to the region's coast guard.

Among 10 people on board the vessel, four have been rescued by Chinese fishing boats sailing near the site.

Six other people have been reportedly trapped inside the capsized vessel, into which South Korean rescuers are trying to enter. Enditem
