Spanish stock market falls 1.78 pct, closes at 8,567 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 1.78 percent on Monday to close at 8,567.70 points, down from the 8,722.90 points of Friday.

On Monday session, Caixabank shares led falls losing 6.48 percent, followed by OHL, FCC, Banco Sabadell, Banco Popular and Bankia that lost 5.84 percent, 5.42 percent, 5.35 percent, 4.44 percent and 4.14 percent respectively.

On the other hand, ArcelorMittal shares led rises climbing 1.06 percent, followed by Grifols, Amadeus, Enagas, Merlin and Iberdrola that rose 0.75 percent, 0.43 percent, 0.21 percent, 0.19 percent and 0.17 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.7 percent and Spain's risk premium closed at 124.20 points, both showing no big differences when compared with Friday closing time. Endit
