China congratulates Croatia on new cabinet

China on Monday congratulated Croatia on its formation of a new cabinet.

China attaches great importance to developing ties with Croatia and will work with the new government to forge a more productive bilateral relationship, according to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying at a regular news briefing.

Late on Friday, the Croatian parliament approved a new cabinet led by Tihomir Oreskovic, ending three months of deadlock following the elections in November.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has sent a congratulatory message to Oreskovic, Hua said. Endi
