China rolls out more national standards in 2015
Xinhua, January 25, 2016 Adjust font size:
China rolled out 1,931 national standards in 2015, up 26.2 percent from the previous year, official data showed.
The country has focused on mapping or revising of standards in key industries in the past year, such as energy saving and environmental protection and financial service, said Tian Shihong, head of the national Standardization Administration.
But he admitted the standardization work is still behind the international level.
By 2020, China will shorten the time to roll out a standard to less than two years from current three years, involving about 9,000 standards in sectors like consumer goods safety, energy saving, and smart manufacturing, according to Tian.
