Dollar trades in mid-118 yen range in early deals in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar traded at the mid-118 yen level in early deals in Tokyo, edging lower than levels seen at the end of last week in New York.
At the start of trading, the dollar was changing hands at 118.57-58 yen, compared with 118.75-85 yen in New York and 118.07-10 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0796-0798 dollars and 128.02-03 yen against 1.0795-0805 dollars and 128.21-31 yen in New York and 1.0831-0831 dollars and 127.88-92 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon. Endit
