Urgent: Japan posts 1.18 billion USD trade surplus in December

Japan posted a goods trade surplus of 140.2 billion yen (1.18 billion U.S. dollars) in December, the Finance Ministry said Monday.

According to the ministrys preliminary report, exports dropped 8.0 percent from a year earlier, while imports fell 18.0 percent, on a customs-cleared basis. Endit
