FC Barcelona went back to the top of the BBVA Primera Liga on Saturday night following a 2-1 win away to Malaga.

A goal from Munir in the first minute of the game and a second from Leo Messi ten minutes after the break gave Barca all three points against a rival who had them in big trouble in the first half and had leveled the scores through a Juampi goal just before halftime.

Barca's much improved second half display, however, was decisive and will put the pressure on Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid who both play on Sunday.

Espanyol and Villarreal shared the points after Mateo Musacchio's late equalizer for the visitors. Espanyol had twice taken the lead through Felipe Caicedo and former Villarreal striker, Gerard Moreno who would be sent off in the closing minutes of the game, but were twice pegged back through Musacchio and Manu Trigueros.

Granada coach Jose Ramon Sandoval will sleep easier after his side's nerve-wracking 3-2 win at home to Getafe.

Fran Rico and El Arabi put Granada 2-2 but quickfire goals from Stefan Scepovic and Moi Gomez drew Getafe level before Rube n Rochina's 77th minute strike sealed it for the home side.

Finally, Rayo Vallecano ended their run of games without a win as they thrashed Celta Vigo 3-0 in Vallecas thanks to first half goals from Miku, Tito and Jozabed. Endit
