DAMASCUS -- Russian airstrikes on Friday targeted rebel-bound weapon shipment entering Syria from Turkey, pan-Arab al-Mayadeen TV reported, as the Syrian military was making progress against the militant groups close to the Turkish borders.
The Russian warplanes struck convoys crossing from Turkey into Syria and weapon depots near the Bab al-Hawa border-crossing, which is under the rebel control, the TV said. (Syria-Russia-Strikes)

HELSINKI -- At least one person died of swine flu recently in Turku, southern Finland, reported Finnish daily Helsingin Sanomat late Friday.
Esa Rintala, senior physician at the infection control unit of the Turku University Hospital, told Helsingin Sanomat that two patients had died of influenza in the hospital recently and at least one of them was infected by the swine flu virus. (Finland-Swine Flu)

SANAA -- An ambulance was hit by an airstrike in Yemen's Saada governorate on Thursday, the driver killed, the Doctors Without Borders (MSF) official website reported Friday.
