Spanish stock market rises 1.97 pct, closes at 8,444 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex 35 rose 1.97 percent on Thursday to close at 8,444.20 points, up from the 8,281.40 points of Wednesday.

On Thursday session, ArcelorMittal shares led rises climbing 9.39 percent, followed by Sacyr, Bankinter, Acerinox, Repsol and Tecnicas Reunidas that rose 5.61 percent, 5.39 percent, 4.22 percent, 4.20 percent and 3.26 percent.

On the other hand, Gamesa shares led falls losing 3.60 percent, followed by Acciona, Enagas, Iberdrola, R.E.C. and OHL that lost 2.73 percent, 0.51 percent, 0.28 percent, 0.22 percent and 0.10 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's 10-year bond interest rate stood at 1.7 percent and Spain's risk premium closed at 127.20 points, down from the 131.90 of Wednesday. Enditem
