Mario Yepes retires at San Lorenzo

Mario Yepes, the Colombia international who used to play for River Plate, Paris Saint-Germain and A.C. Milan, declares his retirement a few days after his 40th birthday.
Yepes began his expedition in Europe in January 2002 when he moved from River Plate to Nantes in Ligue 1. Afterwards he spent years in PSG and A.C. Chievo Verona. In 2010 he joined A.C. Milan and won a Serie A title in that season. In 2014 Yepes left Europe and joined San Lorenzo in Argentina.
Yepes was first enrolled in Colombia national team in 1999, played 102 games and scored 6 goals for Colombia. In 2014 FIFA World Cup, he led Colombia to the quarterfinal as the captain of the team.
Yepes won one Categoria Primera A title, two Primera Division titles, one Serie A title and a Copa America champion. Endit
