Xinhua, January 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

Ukraine plans to raise the fees for Russian natural gas transit via its territory by half, the country's Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said here Tuesday.

"The tariffs would be raised to about 4.5 U.S. dollars per 100 kilometers. That is around 50 percent higher than before," Demchyshyn told a media conference.

Last year, Russian gas transit rate through the Ukrainian territory was about 2.7 dollars per 100 km. Endit
