Industry confidence indicator in Albania improves

Xinhua, January 19, 2016 Adjust font size:

Industry Confidence Indicator of Albania increased by 4.2 percentage points in the fourth quarter, in contrast to the decrease in the third quarter, the Bank of Albania said in a recent report, Albanian Daily News reported Monday.

The economic situation in Albania and the overall businesses situation also improved in the fourth quarter of 2015, increasing by 6.8 and 4.7 percentage points, respectively.

For the first quarter of 2016, firms expect that the economic situation will continue to improve, but not their business situation. Industry firms continue to assess the presence of corruption and informal economy and electrical energy-related problems as factors limiting their normal business activity.

Construction Confidence Indicator also continued to improve in the fourth quarter, increasing 6.8 percentage points. Enditem
