Chinese vice president to attend WEF annual meeting

Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao will attend the 46th World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting from Wednesday to Friday, a foreign ministry spokesperson announced Monday in Beijing.

Li's attendance is at the invitation of WEF founder and executive chairman Klaus Schwab, said spokesperson Hong Lei.

The forum will be held from Jan. 20 to 23 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, under the theme "Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution." More than 40 heads of state and government and senior officials will attend the meeting, according to the WEF. Endite
