Cross-border drug ring busted in south China

Xinhua, January 18, 2016 Adjust font size:

Police in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which borders Vietnam, have captured two Vietnamese drug dealers and are hunting for another two accomplices.

Local police arrested the two as they collected drug money and seized 3.45 kg of heroin in Ningming County on Jan. 12.

One suspect confessed to spending 1.6 billion Vietnamese Dong (about 71,000 U.S. dollars) on 10 bars of heroin in Vietnam and smuggled them to China for trade.

The Chinese police have launched a manhunt for the other two Vietnamese accomplices who helped raise the money for the drugs. Endi
