A blockbuster on the Korean War is being worked on by Chinese filmmakers and will remember Chinese soldiers who displayed courage in the conflict, its director Oxide Pang said Sunday.
Starring Liu Ye, "My War" is scheduled to be released by the end of 2016.
It tells of the romance and friendship among a group of soldiers who fought in the Chinese People's Volunteer Army (CPVA) in the early 1950s.
Pang said more than 100,000 rounds of real ammunition were shot during the filming, which began in September and concluded recently.
More than 183,000 CPVA soldiers died in the war, according to statistics at a museum in northeast China. Endi
