Chinese shares close lower Friday

China's stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 3.55 percent, at 2,900.97 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index tumbled 3.35 percent to close at 9,997.92 points. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, dropped 2.86 percent to close at 2,112.9 points. Endi
