Seoul shares open higher

Seoul shares opened higher on Wednesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) climbed 11.74 points, or 0.62 percent, to trade at 1,902.60 in the first 15 minutes of trading.

The South Korean currency was quoted at 1,208.8 won against the U.S. dollar as of 9:15 a.m., up 1.5 won from Tuesday's close. Enditem
