Bilateral trade between Croatia, Poland expands significantly

Croatia's exports to Poland increased by 24 percent to 146 million euros (158 million U.S. dollars) in the first 10 months of last year, more than the total exports in 2014, Croatian Chamber of Economy (CCE) said on Tuesday.

Its imports from Poland went up by 22 percent, exceeding 435 million euros.

Croatia mainly exported medicines, aluminium foil and textile products to Poland and imported cigarettes, toiletries and furniture.

Meanwhile, Polish companies were interested in investing in Croatia, particularly in energy sector, such as renewable energy and gas projects, according to CCE.

Poland is currently the 15th largest export market for Croatian manufacturers. Enditem
