Spain's housing sales increase by 13.7 pct in Nov.

Spanish housing sales rose by 13.7 percent in November when compared with the same month of a year earlier, Spain's Statistical Office (INE) reported on Tuesday.

A total of 28,733 operations were registered in November, the INE reported, with sales of second-hand houses rising by 30.5 percent to a total of 23,129 purchases and sales of new houses falling by 25.7 percent in November year-on-year to 5,604 operations.

Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of 2015 housing sales rose by 11.5 percent year-on-year, with sales of new houses falling by 34.5 percent and sales of second-hand houses increasing by 39.2 percent.

Spain's housing market has been seriously hit by the crisis and the burst of the housing bubble, but so far Spain's housing sales have been rising for 15 consecutive months on a year-on-year basis, the INE said. Endit
