Copenhagen Police have arrested 12 people for seeking retaliation for a tripe murder case in downtown Copenhagen last year, local media reported Tuesday.
According to the police, the arrests were linked to the circle around the three young men who were shot dead in an apartment in Copenhagen's Frederiksberg district in November last year.
"The investigation has shown that they have obtained four different weapons in connection with the possible revenge for the killing of their friends," the police said in a statement.
The firearms consist of three loaded pistols and a loaded hunting rifle, which according to the police were traded in separate occasions.
The police said those arrested include suppliers and buyers of weapons and those who actively participated in the planning to procure weapons.
They are all male between the ages of 16 and 30 years old with non-Danish ethnic origin, according to the police, noting that they were apprehended in raids on Monday in different places across the country.
The 12 detainees are scheduled to be presented for a preliminary hearing at a local court on Tuesday. Endit
