Japan to release chocolate sauce fried noodles for Valentines' Day

Xinhua, January 12, 2016 Adjust font size:

A Japanese food producer will start selling chocolate-flavored "yakisoba," or fried noodles, next week for Valentines' Day, according to a local report Tuesday.

The maker, Myojo Foods Co., said that the cup noodles tasted sweet and salty from a sauce made of chocolate and Worcester sauce, with cinnamon seasoning to sprinkle on top.

In Japan, women, generally, will give gifts, mostly chocolates, to men in the Valentines' Day and men, in return, will give presents on March 14, known as White Day, to women.

The chocolate-flavored cup fried noodles will hit the shelves next Monday at a suggested retail price of 194 yen (about about 1.65 U.S. dollars). Endit
