Cabinet appoints, removes officials

The State Council, China's cabinet, announced a reshuffle of senior government officials on Tuesday.

Zhu Zhiwen was appointed vice minister of education, while Lu Xin was relieved of the post.

Feng Zhenglin was named head of the Civil Aviation Administration, replacing Li Jiaxiang. Li was also relieved of the post of vice minister of transport.

Pan Gongsheng was appointed head of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, replacing Yi Gang.

Wang Shaozhong was named vice head of the State Archives Administration.

Wang Ning is no longer vice minister of housing and urban-rural development, and Shi Aizhong is no longer deputy head of the National Audit Office.

In addition, Hu Baolin was relieved of the post of vice director of the Office of the State Council Three Gorges Project Construction Committee. Endi
