Xinhua, January 8, 2016 Adjust font size:

Vietnam has set its priorities at national and regional levels for closer cooperation in ASEAN Community in 2016 and beyond.

They were set Friday at a meeting held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with participants from more than 20 ministries and sectors.

The ASEAN Community was officially established on Dec. 31, 2015 on three pillars - the economic community, the security community and the cultural and social community.

At national level, the priorities are related to speeding up communication and information, regulating laws and regulations to facilitate realization of regional commitments, and improving quality and efficiency of coordination among agencies.

At regional level, they mainly involve implementing the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 and blueprints on the three pillars.

The meeting also reviewed cooperation results and progress in ASEAN in 2015. Endit
